Alpinum Botanical Garden
The Alpinum Schatzalp botanical garden is maintained by the Berghotel Schatzalp. The Alpinum is situated at an average altitude of more than 1,800 meters and covers a total area of approximately 5 hectares featuring approximately 3,500 different plant species from mountains all over the world (Switzerland, the Pyrenees, New Zealand, China, Nepal, Tibet, etc.). Numerous different habitats blend into one another, creating a wide variety of sites for plant collections such as edelweiss, gentian, bellflowers, and much more.

The Guggerbachtal Alpinum is located just a five-minute walk from the Berghotel Schatzalp and features a particularly diverse collection of plants across an area of 2 hectares.
Due to the extensive maintenance required, there is an contribution fee of CHF 5.00
for this section of the garden.
Admission is free for hotel guests and Premium Card holders.
Purchase a ticket at the kiosk or at the hotel reception.
GUIDED TOURS
Wednesdays: Historic Alpinum. Starts at 6:00 p.m. contribution CHF 10.00
Sunday Special Tour: June 7. and August 2. Starts at 10:30 a.m.
Fridays: Guggerbach Alpinum, starts at 6:00 p.m., contribution CHF 15.00
Sunday Special Tour: July 5. and September 6. Starts at 10:30 a.m.

KITCHEN HERB GARDEN
The herb garden came into being in 2013, thanks to the cooperation of the Kitchen and Garden staff alike. Since then the collection has multiplied to over 100 different types of herbs, which are used daily in the kitchen.
INFORMATION
It is not permitted to take dogs into the garden. When dogs are on the Schatzalp they must be kept on a leash at all times. Thank you for your understanding.
